The name of the actor Mahesh Babu is now well known in the southern part of the India. He was born in 9th August 1975 at Chennai. He is best known for his blockbuster Telegu films.

Personal life

Mahesh Babu is the fourth son of the south Indian actor Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna. Therefore, the youth actor did not have to fight much for his career; whereas the path of his career was pretty easy.

He married the Bollywood actress Namrata Sirodkar; with whom co stared in the movie Vamsi. They have two children – Gautam Krishna and Sitara.

 Early career

Lots of ups and downs have been noticed in the career of Mahesh babu life. In the initial years of his filmy world, he had not got any kind of lead role. At a very early age of four, he started his career of acting in this debut film of Needa (1979) as a child artist. Then at the age of eight he acted in the film of Poratam and won lots of south Indian’s heart as a child artist.

Mahesh babu Ghattamaneni started making full length featured film from the age of 13. In the movie Shankaravam (1987), he played his first full length role, which was directed by his own father Krishna. In the very next year, 1988, he rolled in the films Bazaar Rowdy with his sibling Ramesh Babu and Mugguru Kodukulu with his brother Ramesh Babu and father Krishna.

The beginning movies of the youth actor were not blockbuster movies. He had to struggle a lot to root his existence as an actor during this time. Some of the other early movies of the actor includes Gudachari 117 (1989), Koduku Diddina Kapuram (1989), Bala Chandrudu ((1990), and Anna Tammudu (1990).

Blockbuster career

Director K. Raghavendra Rao saw the struggle of the youth star, and was very impressed by seeing the dual role of Mahesh babu in the film of Koduku Diddina Kapuram, and decided to give him a chance in his movies. Mahesh debut him as a male lead hero in his film Raja Kumarudu (The prince) in 1999, co staring with the bollywood actress Priety Zinta. This film was his first blockbuster movie which owed him to win the award of Nandi as the Best Male Debutant. After this movie, he was started calling as Prince Mahesh Babu by his dear fans.

Director Y.V.S Choudary directed his next blockbuster movie Yuvaraju in the year of 2000, and gives him the post of one of the best male Telegu actors during that period. This movie hit the box office for long 100 days!

In the very next year of 2001, he worked under the director Krishna Vamsi for the movie Murari, co-starring with the bollywood actress Sonali Bendre, was his next best film; which helped him to fetch the award of Nandi Special Jury Award.
